A Tribute to My Favorite 11 Year Old

It took you forever to arrive on that crisp fall day 11 years ago! But it was so worth the wait! When the lights went out across the whole county, daddy was certain it was a sign of great things to come! He was right.

Your laugh melts my heart and your sincerity humbles me!

This is in no particular order ... I think each one takes it's place at the top of the list at one time or another.

1. You have always had a tender heart about the world around you and the feelings of others (despite your obsession with video games which are, well, not like that!).

2. Your giggle ... I mean that belly laugh giggle that makes everyone around you smile.

3. You are one of the hardest working kids I know!

4. You never give up!

5. You still love to snuggle on the couch and watch movies with your mama!

6. You share EVERYTHING ... even though you're one of those only children!

7. Everywhere you go, you make new friends!

8. You want to know more and more about being like Jesus and aren't afraid to say so!

9. Your eyes look like your daddy's!

10. Your developing sense of humor will be a wonderful asset as you grow up!

11. You are a gift straight from God's heart to our hearts!


Thanks for letting me hang on to the little boy in you, even though this amazing young man is starting to emerge!
