Mar. 22, 2007 - OVERWHELMED!
Some of you will be shocked to hear this (others, not so much) ... I hate to make decisions about some things. I don't really care where we eat when we go to a restaurant ... I don't care usually if we go to a ballgame or a movie ... I don't even usually care if we go out or stay in ... I find that I make so many pressured decisions in the course of school, committees, church, relationship issues, family stuff ... I am often relieved if someone will just decide for me.
Enters a 2 day getaway that needs planning. Not Randy's strength. The last time he did (exactly 6 years ago) we ended up driving all the way to Georgia, back by way of Ducktown, Andrews, NC into Bryson City.NC ... after 7 hours of driving trying to find "the perfect place" we ended up in a small town on a Saturday night with everything closed ... not the event he had thought would simply unfold ... rather the epitome of 'if you plan nothing, that's exactly what will happen' SO ... as this trip approaches, we both recognize the need for a plan. But there are so many things to be considered ... city or country ... or something in between ... bed and breakfast or hotel ... museums and antiques or ballgames (the Cubs do play in Atlanta in April!) ... something familiar or something completely new ...
So many choices ... thank the Lord for friends who will help wade through the mountains of choices and narrow them into something slightly more managable
