arguments against allowing 11 yo boys to sleep til 11am

Jul. 13, 2007 - Argument against allowing 11 year old boys to sleep until 11am!!
Number one in my mind this morning ...
1. They can't sleep at night and they lie there and think. Who taught them to think??
On the upside, some rather funny things come to mind and they are more likely to spout them after midnight ... if, and only if, one is willing to be roused from sleep and actually seize the moment when said 11 year old says, "Mom, is this a bad time to ask you to come to my room so we can talk." Husband taps me on the forehead to make sure I know I'm not dreaming ... and I'm far too sleepy to panic over such a question.
I can't recall the first 10 things he spouted off ... but I was fully awake when he asked this question, "Why do they call THE TALK the birds and the bees? Why can't they call it something, well, you know, like the alligators and snakes?"
