Jul. 20, 2006 - It's time to start thinking about a more regular school schedule again!
And that makes my head hurt!

We've done a bunch of stuff this summer- Around the World Camps, some reading together, we listened to the first two books of the Chronicles of Narnia while we were in the car last week ... but the one thing I wanted to do this summer, I just found that I had no energy for ... insisting on the practice of math facts! I hate the fight that begins this way, "... but mom, I'm just not good at them!" and ends with my saying "... you will never be good at them if you don't practice." I don't know if I care more that he can do them quickly or if I could just be certain he has the processes fixed in his mind such that he can move onto more complex concepts for the coming year.

Maybe a good old fashioned bribe is in the future for the Brown's??? Would that be so terrible?
